The Commission of Deaf, Deaf-blind and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans (MCDHH) is supporting a bill which will help provide Medicaid coverage for out-of-state inpatient mental health treatment for children who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing. Minnesota does not offer such a facility that has qualified professional mental health staff who are fluent in American Sign Language.
There will be hearing at the MN Capitol on this bill on Wedsnesday, February 29th.
