Cynthia Weitzel explains what happened during the first meeting to start an "oral" (as in unwritten) history project for the MN Deaf Community. MCDHH is working with Dr. Barb Sommer, a renowned expert in the discipline of oral history. With her help, they are working to start a project to preserve MN Deaf history by collecting the personal experiences and stories of Deaf citizens in MN.
