If these big fortune 500 companies suport this why are our Congressional representatives such laggards? Also, why haven't other phone companies weighed in such as T-Mobile who sells us text cell phones and Sprint who make lots of money off relay services.

Thank you for the vlog, and the calls to action. I learned about it from Twitter, and hope many others join in to help spread the word and take action.
Can you post the transcript for the vlog? I looked for it, but didn't find it. Thanks!
BTW - I've been caught by your captcha twice now. And I've entered the word correctly (cutting and pasting). Wish this was easier.
I know that it's probably not directly covered right now - but since it's still in committee, bringing up the issue can only be a good idea at the moment.
Joe - Fantastic Job, you nailed it! Not only your vlog moved me, but it made spread this (your vlog) to everyone else. Count on me for contacting my Congressman & Senator to support HR.3101 & Internet Captioning.
Best,
-Sean

Thanks for doing this captioned vlog! That is good information you shared about iTunes University. However...I have my doubts that HR 3101 would apply to iTunes University. You see, HR 3101 applies to "television-type" programming on the Internet. In other words, it is like an updated version of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which required captioning on television. I suggest you double-check with the people at COAT (http://www.coataccess.org) to find out if HR 3101 would indeed apply to iTunes University.
However -- if we succeed in getting HR 3101 passed, Apple will probably follow and caption the iTunes University material! DVDs are not required by law to be captioned, but they are anyway! Companies don't want to miss out on the market of captioning viewers that was created by the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

True, as it is currently
True, as it is currently written, the bill doesn't support this.
But we can encourage legislators to expand the bill.
Caption Action 2 is also working on getting HR3101 passed
Don't forget that Caption Action 2 is also working on getting HR3101 passed. We've got two sites;
http://www.causes.com/captionaction2/
http://captionaction2.blogspot.com/
As you said in the vlog, it takes everyone's help to get this passed.
So, readers and viewers, help us all out in getting this passed!
